It is a very good extra challenge mechanic but to be a standard is a bit too punishing for casual gamers like myself in my opinion. It seems to boil down to a point where you can just say dont get hit. Occasional glitchy hits from the mobs can be a tiny tad infuriating. This same mechanic makes other heals pretty useless too, this factor combined with For example you get hit with 10dmg and you can only heal 5 of it.
Megarace have a nice death full#
One of the biggest issues for me is the injury pool which prevents you getting full heal, and basicly makes the normal anima pretty useless since you get this "debuff" from the smallest of hits taken.
Megarace have a nice death upgrade#
My journey ended at the boss of 3rd stage, never getting a chance to upgrade any equipment(well i could have had 1 upgrade for scythe.hurray :E). The game is a bit too RNG, just had a run where i got control room once at the beginning of 2nd stage when i had 98soulary and nothing ntrol room never showed up again. ups you encounter and what floors you find, basically, is the largest determining factor of whether your current run shall be successful (or, at least, reasonably tenable until you rest in paperwork again), or if you'll end up nerd raging and hurting your throat whilst screaming invectives at the game like I had, yesterday morning.īleps, you ever reach a Control Room (as your only allocated option) with, like, one soulary short of being able to upgrade any of your crap? Like, your good crap too. With H.A.N.D., it its current form, it definitely feels like a(n average-level) player must accept that the RNG of what buffs / power

I (as an "average" gamer) am far from "done" with Hades of course but, at least I am not still struggling more than what could be considered normal. Even I managed to work my way up through the game, a fair amount. Like, I get the desire of serving up a "rogue-like" experience. But there needs to be some form or sort of light at the end of the tunnel for us normal gamers. Originally posted by SirBleps:I agree that there isn't enough opportunities to heal in in a run, and I rarely use the store as the control room is a better option On the whole, my computer presently reports 24 - 34% CPU, and ~80% Memory usage with H.A.N.D. With this game (on its Rest In Paperwork screen), per Task Manager, right now I am looking at While I am at it, I do want to mention, the frame rate of Have A Nice Death doesn't always do too well on my machine. I also am aware you're still in early access, so work is still being put in for improving and tinkering. You know I had one run with 3 prismiums and almost 400 soularies? And during that run, I was not able to upgrade my cloak nor scythe even once!! Though, how I made it to the beginning of level 4 in spite of that, I still cannot say. Or, is that the actual point of this exercise? To constantly beat the player down with cheapness? The number of times I've "rushed" right into my death because its invulnerability frames are not at all generous when you need them to be, the most! Losing because I could never recover from past injuries.is very infuriating. Yeah, you guys do really need to work on giving the player more opportunities to heal - and consistently. Frame limit in the game would have been nice tho.Good, promising runs getting snatched away from me because Old Death certainly is not made to stay apace with all the foolishness being lobbed at him constantly.įirst and foremost, I find myself getting cheapshotted by projectiles as a natural matter of course - some projectiles, of which, get launched at me off-screen!Īnd, yeah. Yeah did some testing after my previous post and it seems to be the case so I used nvidia control panel to limit the frames to my monitor that is 4k 60fps and it cut the power draw in half basically and the usage is down too. Limit the frame rate to the desired value. Therefore, I think that the game does not have a frame rate limit in the menu. This game, under "normal conditions", will not be able to load your GPU on 100%. The second reason follows from the first. In this mode, it is usually easier to reach 100% load of the GPU, but this is not the "ultimate power" (there is a Maximum Performance Mode). Secondly, your video card works in Adaptive Mode by default. Firstly, the game can work with an indecently high rate of frames in the menu if it really does not have a limit, unlike your GPU.
